A Rapids man told Lockport police on Wednesday that someone had broken into a garage he rents on Green Street between Aug. 15 and Wednesday morning, stealing $3, 350 worth of tools, including electrical tools, machine shop tools, a tool box full of drill bits, and a band saw. The garage showed no signs of forced entry according to the LPD incident report. The case was transferred to the detectives division for further investigation.
Michael H. Howe, 23, 18 Pound St., Apt. 1, was charged around 4:54 p.m. Thursday with second-degree attempted criminal contempt. According to the LPD arrest report, Howe violated a stay-away order issued by Lockport City Court Judge Bill Watson on Wednesday. Howe was slated for City Court this morning.
