NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION — Green Berets from across the U.S. will hold a reunion this coming weekend here, on Saturday to honor 20 deceased members of their unit.
The soldiers state the lineage of this special forces group dates as far back as World War II and has served in many operations to the present. The unit was part of the New York National Guard and was based in White Plains, Schenectady and Buffalo.
The soldiers' memorial service is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Last year, the unit hosted several events to honor their deceased unit members, including the dedication of a tree and memorial service.
