ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Lockport juvenile was charged with petit larceny and criminal mischief Thursday afternoon after police say he stole items from Tops on South Transit Road.
According to the report, the male was seen placing items in his pocket around 4 p.m. and attempting to leave the store before being apprehended by store personnel, who found him with a stick of Old Spice deodorant and one bottle of Got2be hair gel, which he reportedly had removed from its package.
The juvenile was unable to provide patrol with any contact information for his mother or father other than their names. He was originally uncooperative in providing information such as his numerical address.
The boy told patrol that he is scheduled to appear at probation on Aug. 12, as he is on PINS. At that meeting, he will also answer to the charges of petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief for Thursday's incident.
The boy was told that he is no longer allowed on Tops property and released to care of a family friend.
