Donald J. Smith of Newfane, NY husband of Josephine M. Sacchet Smith entered into rest Friday, August 15, 2014 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility.

He was born in Lockport, NY June 9, 1922, the son of the late Ralph and Cara White Smith. Donald was a member of the UAW and loved his family dearly. Member of St. Brendan of the Lake St. Bridget’s site. Father of Raymond (Cheryl) Smith of San Diego, CA, Donna (William) Burger of Depew, NY, Thomas Smith of St. Charles, MO, Timothy (Nancy) Smith of Lockport, NY, Steven (Mary) Smith of Rochester, NY, Mary (John) Terhaar of Buffalo, NY, Barbara (Colin) Croas of Portland, OR and Daniel Smith of Buffalo, NY. Brother of the late Ralph, Stanley, and Earl Smith. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan of the Lake (St. Bridget’s site) Ewings Road Newfane, NY. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Newfane, NY.
