ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An unknown person knocking at the front door of a Northledge Drive home door shortly before 6 a.m. Friday brought Niagara County Sheriff's deputies looking for the person.
Upon arrival, patrol was told that the unknown person was a male who had gone to the rear of the residence and was knocking on a sliding glass door in an enclosed sun porch. Patrol went to the rear of the residence and observed the unknown male running through the back yard toward a four-foot chain link fence, which the suspect hopped, going into the rear yard of a Ridgewood Drive home.
Patrol gave chase but was unable to locate the suspect after coming through heavy underbrush. A subsequent check of the area yielded negative results.
The Northledge Drive homeowner told police that the male knocked and rang the doorbell but did not attempt to make entry into the residence. The homeowner requested periodic checks of the area.
