TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 24-year-old Rochester woman was transported by ambulance to ENH-Lockport this morning after an accident.
According to the report, the woman was riding eastbound on Saunders Settlement Road around 8:45 a.m. when a rock kicked up from either her front tire or the rear tire of her father in law, whom she was traveling with, and struck her in the face. She thinks that she then struck her father in law's rear tire then fell from the bike onto the road. She said that she was wearing a bicycle helmet at the time of the crash, but still felt dizzy and had head pain.
When patrol arrived, the woman was laying on the side of the road with blood coming from her face, shoulder and legs.
South Lockport EMS arrived on scene and transported the woman to ENH-Lockport for evaluation. Her father in law and the bicycles were also transported to the hospital by South Lockport.
