BURT — A Newfane man who crashed his motorcycle near the intersection of West Creek and Ide roads was charged with driving while intoxicated and taken to Erie County Medical Center Sunday morning.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Sean C. Milczarski, 32, 2722 Caledonia St., Newfane, was seen walking away from where an accident had been reported around 12:45 a.m. when patrol stopped him to interview him.
Patrol observed multiple abrasions and found Milczarski to smell of alcohol. He failed all field sobriety tests and was subsequently charged with DWI, driving while intoxicated after being convicted of VTL within the preceding 10 years, speed not reasonable and prudent, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
He was taken to the Sheriff's Office where he began to complaini of chest and back pains and requested to be taken to the hospital. Patrol transported him to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport, who then sent him to ECMC due to the extent of his injuries.
He is scheduled to appear in Newfane Town Court this evening.
