Lockport Police responded this morning to a one-car accident involving a tree. But in this case, the tree really did jump out into the road.

No one was injured when the rotted tree fell in front of — and onto — the moving car on Scovell Street, although the car did suffer front end damage, according to LPD.

Officers Henry Nevins and Aaron Belling were sent to investigate the accident.

"Luckily the tree was completely rotten and disintegrated on impact," according to LPD.
