TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Buffalo woman was charged Saturday night with prison contraband after Niagara County Jail officers say they found her concealing three bags of marijuana — including two in her rectum.
Shanice Livingston, 22, 1000 Walden Ave., Buffalo, was transported to the jail around 7:45 p.m. Saturday by Town of Niagara Police, who informed jail officials that she may have drugs on her person. Jail officials asked her multiple times if she had any drugs on her, in which she stated no.
Jail officials then strip searched Livingston in the shower area, where one bag of suspected marijuana was adhered to her right breast. Officials then asked her if she had any additional contraband, at which time she reportedly removed two additional bags of marijuana from her rectal area.
Patrol placed Livingston into custody and transported her to the Town of Lockport Court for arraignment. She was returned to the Niagara County Jail where she was held on an additional $500 bail.
She is to return to the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
Patrol submitted the suspected marijuana to the Niagara County Forensics lab for further testing.
