NEWFANE — Niagara County Sheriff's deputies found a golf cart Saturday afternoon that had been stolen from Oak Run Golf Club earlier in the week.
The 2013 Yamaha Golf Cart, valued at $4,500 was found around 3:30 p.m. in a field on Wheeler Road, according to an incident report filed by NCSO.
The golf cart was partially spray painted black with obscenities written on the seat with spray paint. The roof of the golf cart was missing and there was damage all over the relatively new cart.
Patrol spoke with the owner of the Wheeler Road property, who stated that a couple days prior, a golf cart which he believes was this one, drove past his home on Wheeler Road with what appeared to be two or three juveniles driving it.
When the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene, they collected evidence from the scene and cleared. Harrington's Towing secured the vehicle and is towed it to be processed on Monday.
