ENP STAFF REPORTS

NEWFANE — A pair of neighbors in the 3800 block of Ewings Road have now got their animals involved in their ongoing feud.
According to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, a Ewings Road resident told patrol that his son saw the neighbor's dog cross over the property line and attack their chicken Sunday morning. The neighbor, Carol Sattleberg, then came onto the property without permission to retrieve the dog, the report said.
The complainant told patrol that he had installed surveillance cameras on his property due to previous incidents and showed surveillance footage to patrol.
Patrol then spoke with Sattleberg, who admitted to her dog leaving the yard, but stated it was only because the chicken was on her property first.
No charges were filed. Patrol attempted to contact the dog warden to advise him of a possible leash law violation, but was unsuccessful at the time. Case closed pending new information.
