A Beattie Avenue man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Friday that sometime between Feb. 14 and Thursday afternoon someone entered his home and removed approximately $200 worth of venison from his freezer.
The complainant told patrol that there were approximately four backstraps, 30 pounds of cube venison steak, and 14 pounds of breakfast sausage removed from the freezer in the kitchen of the residence. He said that there were no other items taken or moved in the residence. He further stated that he spoke with all family members, all of which stated that they did not take the meat.
Patrol did not observe any signs of forced entry at the residence.
