The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of Big Lots Plaza in the Town of Lockport this afternoon.

According to an official report, witnesses reported that a verbal altercation occurred inside the store and carried out into the parking lot, resulting in a physical altercation in which an adult male victim sustained a serious stab wound in the upper body at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The victim is being treated at a Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for two male suspects who left the area in a silver mini-van. The investigation is still early and on-going. Anyone with further information is asked to call Investigator Jeff Pytlik at 438-3336.
