A 30-year-old Newfane man and a 50-year-old Newfane woman were both arrested Tuesday on drug charges by New York State Police and the Buffalo Strike Force Detail.
According to the NYSP report, Ryan W. Finch was stopped on Niagara Street in Buffalo for having a loud exhaust and no passenger mirror. He was found to have a suspended license and a vehicle search turned up "drug paraphernalia with heroin residue."
He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon (switchblade) as well as vehicle and traffic violations.
Troopers also arrested the passenger Kristal Prica on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The pair were processed at Buffalo Police holding and held pending arraignment, which was to have been this morning.
