A Newfane man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies this morning that someone damaged the rim of his truck, causing the tire to go flat.
The Ridge Road man said he was advised by a mechanic that the reason for the flat was because the rim had been struck with a blunt instrument, possibly a hammer or pipe, causing the crack in the rim.
Damage was estimated at $400.
The complainant told NCSO that he thought he knew who might have damaged the rim. Patrol will continue to investigate the matter.
