The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for parts of Western New York, including all of East Niagara.
A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph, according to the weather service. Winds of these magnitudes may cause minor propoerty damage without extra precautions.
In East Niagara, winds are expected to be steady southwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph, bringing down tree limbs and power lines.
The wind advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Today's high will be around 28 and the low will be around 17. Monday temperatures fall with 18 being the high and a low of 1 degree. Tuesday offers a high of 6 and a low of -1. Wednesday's high is forecast as 12 degrees with a 7-degree low projected.
