Finding "no victim and no crime," Lockport Police have concluded an investigation into a "shots fired" complaint that the department received shortly before 10 p.m.
Police had received a call of 'shots fired' at appropriately 9:56 p.m. What sounded like gunshots could be heard again at 10:01 p.m. and again at 10:04 p.m.
Police say a black male was seen running in the area of Ontario and North Transit streets at the time but their investigation yielded no results.
Police say it's unknown if it was actually gunshots or just fireworks.
NOTE: Story updated at 11:28 p.m.
