There were several fights during the game -- and eight ejections.
Following back-to-back hard fought 6-5 contests between the Lockport Express and New York Aviators -- with each team winning one -- the Aviators handily won a penalty-filled brawlfest over Lockport Sunday afternoon.

There was 222 minutes in penalties called in the game, with the majority of it coming in third period -- after several Express players grew weary of New York's antics, which involved baiting Express players into fights and then cowering away.

Andrew Logar scored the Express' lone goal at 17:03 of the first period, assisted by Frank Vecchio Jr. and Dylan Jenkins. He was then baited into a fight at 13:39 of the second period and ejected from the game. Eight players in all were ejected.

New York goals came from Gunther Stange, Robert Kalata (3), Alex Rojas, and Nick Jean-Louis.

The Express are now off until after the new year, when they play in Rochester Jan. 2 and 3. After that, it's two more games against the Aviators Jan. 9 and 10.
