Herbert A. Dietz passed away December 1, 2015.

Born March 27, 1938 he is the son of the late John (Eleen Adams) Dietz husband to the late Challis Dietz and brother to the late Roy Dietz and Wilbert Dietz. Herbert enjoyed working on cars, he worked for GM in Lockport and as security at ADESA, he was a retired member of the South Lockport Fire Company 1 and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his sons Herbert A. Dietz Jr. of Niagara Falls and Richard (Patricia) Dietz of Lockport, his grandchildren Christopher, Justin, Rachel, Mark, Erica, Eric, Adam and Katlyn, along with 8 great grandchildren, along with his brother Michael (late Grayce) Dietz, sister Laura(late Donald)Austin and Lucille (Stanley) Burger.

A visitation will be held Friday December 4 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel at 263 East Avenue in Lockport. A graveside funeral service will be Saturday December 5 at 11AM at Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in Herbert’s honor can be made to South Lockport Fire Company 1.
