TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A 19-year-old Lockport woman was charged Monday with falsely reporting an incident and second-degree aggravated harassment.
According to New York State Police, Shelby-Lynn M. Carnes had told Troopers on Oct. 26 that she was receiving numerous calls and text messages from an acquaintance. After a lengthy investigation, police concluded that Carnes was using a fake Facebook page through a third party to bait the acquaintance into contacting her.
Carnes was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
