While not native Lockportians, we like to think of Lockport as our home. We moved to this city nearly 25 years ago for a host of reasons: a friendly, community atmosphere, beautiful homes, and warm, caring neighbors. We have watched Lockport go through many changes over the years.

We were dismayed when the financial stability of the city was in danger of collapse. But thanks to the skillful leadership of Mayor Anne McCaffrey and many difficult decisions by the Common Council, Lockport is a place with a bright future. Downtown is once again a buzz with cultural activities, the renovation of The Flight of Five, a new Cornerstone Ice Rink, and a growing business base. More and more tourists see our community for the historical gem that it truly is. The number of homes for sale seems to be decreasing and more Sold signs are seen as we drive through various neighborhoods.

Some have criticized Anne’s leadership and decision making. We however, find her energetic, optimistic style refreshing. She is not afraid to make difficult decisions, using as her only litmus test, what is best for the taxpayers of our city. Like a growing number of our friends and neighbors, we are proud of our Mayor and our city. We think Anne is the perfect choice to continue the resurgence of our great city. Please cast your vote for Anne McCaffrey this Tuesday to keep Lockport going in the right direction.
