ENP STAFF REPORTS

A brush hog turns out to have been the culprit behind this afternoon's brief power flicker, according to a NYSEG employee.
Crews were out fixing the severed high-tension wires on Hinmann Road after someone mowing the ditch on the north side of the road accidentally hit a guy wire, which then caused two of the three high-tension wires to snap.
The outage was for only a second or so for the majority of Lockportians but it took the LaFarge quarry offline for much longer, according to NYSEG.
