SYRACUSE -- The Lockport Express dropped its first of a three-game series in Syracuse Friday in overtime.

Lockport never had the lead in the game, which started with a Syracuse goal at 6:07 of the second period, scored by Kelsey Head from Brendan Sand and Nate Walker. Lockport tied it at 8:36 with a goal by Erick Santiago, assisted by Gibson Stuart and Anthony Tomassi. Syracuse re-took the lead at 17:11 on a Nicholas Sanborn goal, assisted by Sand.

Lockport tied the game with time expiring in the third period. Dylan Jenkins and Frank Vecchio Jr. assisted on the Justin Durkee goal, forcing the game into overtime.

In the extra session, Raymond Falso secured the win for Syracuse at 1:13, assisted by Raymond Rowe.

Express goaltender Sal Stalteri stopped 28 of 31 shots.

The same two teams play tonight and Sunday morning.
