ST. PAUL, Minn. — The red-hot pre-season Sabres were without Jack Eichel and Ryan O’Reilly tonight in Minnesota. They were also without goals.
The Sabres lost to the Wild 6-1; Tim Schaller their lone point-getter on an unassisted slapshot in the second period.
Minnesota was up 4-0 before Schaller's goal, having received goals from Jason Zucker, Tyler Graovan and Zach Parise in the first period, and Nino Niederreiter in the second. They added a pair after Schaller's goal, as well — from Zac Dalpe and former Sabre Thomas Vanek.
The Sabres are now 4-2-0 in the pre-season with one final game to go Friday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
