A pair of East Niagara residents were charged recently by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office with unlicensed driving in unrelated cases.

On Friday, police charged 27-year-old Kevin L. Mitchell, 51 Park Pl, with driving with a suspended license and without a seatbelt. According to the NCSO report, Mitchell was stopped on Dysinger Road at approximately 8:19 a.m. for not wearing a seatbelt. He was found to have a suspended license and charged.

Mitchell's vehicle was towed and he was taken to Niagara County Jail where he was held on $250 bail. He is to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Tuesday.

Monday, patrol stopped Harley V. Krantz, 22, 3902 Lockport-Olcott Road, on Ridge Road. He was reportedly traveling 63 mph in a 45 mph zone. Patrol found his license to be suspended and charged him with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

He was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. He is set to appear in Town of Lockport Court today.
