ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a 26-year-old Lincoln Ave. man was charged with DWI following a crash at the intersection of South Transit and Robinson roads.
According to the NCSO report, Jerry Lee Young, 7138 Lincoln Ave., had backed into a vehicle behind him at the intersection on Aug. 25, causing that vehicle to strike a third. The three cars then all sped off and pulled into a South Transit Road gas station where patrol caught up with them.
"The three males all starting arguing with each other," the report said. "Patrol pulled into the parking lot and separated the males," asking each what had happened. One said he had been following Young who was driving erratically. When he came to the intersection at South Transit and Robinson, Young backed into him, pushing him into the vehicle behind him.
When patrol interviewed Young, he said he didn't know what had happened, according to the arrest report. He told patrol that he was "just trying to get around traffic."
Patrol concluded that Young was intoxicated, however, he was found with a .00 blood alcohol content, so he was taken to ENH-Lockport where he agreed to have his blood drawn and urine collected.
He was then taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. He was due in Town of Lockport Court on Aug. 27.
