ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
An argument at Emmett Belknap Intermediate School Sunday night resulted in a Buffalo man getting jumped and charges for three Lockport men — with a fourth suspect still at large.
According to LPD, the complainant had gone to the school around 7 p.m. because he was told that there was a problem with his niece during a pickup football game. When he arrived at the school, he saw a group of males and some members of his family. When he asked if there was a problem, he was attacked by four men, who punched and kicked him. The complainant told police he recognized his attackers, who he'd had problems with in the past.
The attack continued until another family member came to his aid, causing the group of alleged attackers to flee. One of them said, while leaving, "We will be back. We got guns and (stuff). We ain't afraid to do 25 to life," the report said.
Police have since charged Antonio A. Amarena, 18, 7578 Rochester Road, Upper Apt. Gasport; Shakquil K. Reed-Robinson, 22, 605 East High St., Lower Apt.; and Charlie K. Horton-Fisher, 144 Chapel St., Lower Apt., with third-degree assault and third-degree menacing. Similar charges await a Cave Street man, according to police.
The three who were arrested were due in City Court this morning.
NOTE: Story edited at 7:40 p.m. to correct that Emmet Belknap is an intermediate school.
