Chad Lanham, 35, 150 Park Ave., was charged around 1:32 a.m. with third-degree possession of marijuana and growing cannabis. According to the LPD report, members of the Niagara County Drug Task Force and LPD executed a search warrant on Lanham's home on Aug. 17, taking 19 suspected marijuana plants and a small amount of suspected marijuana. The presumed pot was taken to the Niagara County Forensic Laboratory for testing. Those tests found that the plants yielded 11.93 ounces of marijuana, leading to this morning's charges. Lanham was to be in court this morning.

David P. Burshtynsky, 37, 183 Saxton St., was charged around 12:10 a.m. with third-degree assault, third-degree menacing and obstruction of breathing. According to the arrest report, Burshtynsky and a city woman had a verbal argument that turned physical when he grabbed her by the throat, then struck her. He was to be in City Court this morning.

Nathaniel D. Smith, 35, 198 Lock St., Apt. 3, was charged around 2:58 a.m. Sunday with third-degree criminal tampering. According to the LPD arrest report, Smith was being transported to LPD following a warrant arrest and spat in the back of the patrol car. He was to be arraigned in City Court this morning.

Kaitlyn N. Warner, 25, 3006 Savannah St., Niagara Falls, was charged around 2:34 a.m Sunday with DWI and a traffic infraction. According to the LPD arrest report, Warner was stopped for the traffic infraction and found to be intoxicated. She was due in City Court this morning.

Christopher M. Niedbala, 28, 55 Elmwood Pl., was charged around 11:30 p.m. Saturday with DWI, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and an equipment violation. According to the LPD report, Niedbala was driving on a flat tire. When patrol asked him about it, they determined him to be intoxicated. He was due in City Court this morning.

David A. Bowen Jr., 23, 19 Reed St., was charged around 2:46 a.m. Saturday with DWI, speeding, a traffic offense and an equipment violation. According to the LPD report, Bowen was stopped for a traffic offense and found to be intoxicated. He was due in City Court this morning.
