ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Sunset Drive resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that while he was away on vacation someone tried to break into his two attached garages.
The man said the attempted entry occurred between Aug. 15 and Aug. 28. Patrol observed pry marks on the door and both screen windows of the man's front garage. On the back garage, the hinge on the door was broken off. The cover of the complainant's boat was also taken off and the compartment for his battery was open but not taken.
Patrol and the complainant went through the garages and determined that nothing was missing or out of place. Patrol spoke with the man's neighbor who stated they did not see anything suspicious while he was away on vacation.
The complainant was unable to provide patrol with further information in regards to the incident or in regards to the any potential suspects. A report was filed with NCSO and available for CIB review.
