TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Lockport man was relieved of his cell phone Thursday night when he loaned it to man who wanted to use it as a flashlight to help find a basketball.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the man told patrol that the unknown suspect took the iPhone and fled shortly after 8 p.m. while the man was on a playground on Birchwood Drive in the Woodlands.
The complainant told patrol that the culprit was a black male wearing black jeans and a black shirt.
Patrol checked the area and a few residences in the area with negative results.
