NEWFANE — A woman reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that $80 given to her for her birthday was stolen recently.
The woman said the money was taken between 8 p.m. July 25 and 10 a.m. July 26 while she was having a birthday party at a Lockport-Olcott Road home.
The woman gave patrol the names of two people she believed may have taken the money, however those people told patrol they had no idea who might have taken in during the party, adding that there were several dozen people in and out of the residence at that time.
NCSO closed the case pending new information.
