Martin, Ralph R. of Lockport, NY passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2015 at home.

He was born on June 29, 1921 in Rochester, NY. Ralph married his late wife of 73 years, Viola M. Martin, on September 1, 1941 and she passed away on February 16, 2015. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was proudly part of the committee that was instrumental in the forming of Cornerstone Federal Credit Union, a longtime member of U.A.W. Local 686, Wilson Senior Citizens and enjoyed traveling.

Ralph is predeceased by his beloved wife Viola M. Martin and daughter, Viola Ruth Martin. He is survived by his children, Dorothy (Tom) Hooker of OR, Joanne Martin of Lockport, Dianne (David) Roberts of NC, Carol (David) Henning of Newfane, David Martin of the Philippines, Lynn (Wayne) Laubacker and Donald (Diane) Martin both of Lockport; 52 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, William Martin of Lockport and Doris VanEtten of FL; several nieces and nephews, a special friend, Sue Pax and three adopted grandchildren, Brenda, Anita and Alicia.

Private funeral services will be held. Memorials may be made to March of Dimes, Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Niagara Hospice.
