TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 41-year-old male was taken to Erie County Medical Center this morning via Mercy Flight following a motorcycle crash on Tonawanda Creek Road.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the male, whose identity has not been released, was ejected while traveling eastbound on Tonawanda Creek Road around 7:37 a.m. He had failed to negotiate a curve due to speed, police say.
Approximately 500 feet of skidmarks were measured at scene from the cycle.
The driver suffered multiple injuries including head trauma, but had been walking around the scene after the crash prior to being transported to the hospital.
According to NCSO, the accident investigation is continuing.
