Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will be in Lockport this afternoon for a pair of economic development-related events.
First, at 1 p.m., Hochul is set to announce new funding for another round of Flight of Five restoration at the Flight of Five locks. The $615,000 will allow for the re-creation of Lock 68, the second lock from the bottom of the Flight. Once completed, it will mean three working locks have been re-created. Locks 69 and 70 were re-done in 2014.
Then at 2 p.m., the Western New York Regional Economic Development Council Meeting will convene at Cornerstone Arena and hold a bus tour of Lockport projects it has funded.
