TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Lockport Soccer Club is holding team tryouts for boys and girls in U8-U19 divisions.
The tryouts, to be held at the Day Road Soccer Fields, will be held twice for each age group — Sunday and again Aug. 26. For boys and girls trying out for teams U8 - U13, sessions will be held from 6-7 p.m. each date. For boys and girls trying out for teams U14 - U19, sessions will be held from 7-8 p.m. each date.
All players have to attend at least one of the tryout sessions. The organization encourages all players to attend both, if possible. In some cases, coaches may also schedule additional tryouts if they cannot make one of the sessions. This will be communicated either prior to the tryout for returning players, or at registration.
The group will be using the same criteria as last year for age appropriate groupings with returning players trying out for their current teams and new players trying out for the team that is in their age group.
The player's age on Aug. 1 determines their age appropriate team. For example, a player who was age 12 on Aug. 1, will be in the U13 (Under 13 years old) division.
