John E. Mount of Lockport, NY passed away Wednesday August 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.  

John was born April 16, 1947 in Marianna, FL the son of Wesley and Ossie B. (Newton) Mount. He retired from Harrison Radiator in 1998 after 30 years. In his leisure time and after retirement he enjoyed tinkering and fixing any and every thing that needed fixing and enjoyed watching and getting involved with the online auctions. His special enjoyment came from spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Mary M. (Griffin) Mount of Lockport; father of  Maxine Newton of Malone, FL, James E. Mount and Katrina Mount Collins both of Lockport, Laverne (Michael) Burns of Bainbridge, OH, Paul J. (Rosina) Mount and Patrick J (Lisa) Mount both of Ft. Wayne, IN.; he also is survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  John is also the brother of Alberta McLeroy and Leberta Grimms both of St. Petersburg, FL, Mae Ola Mount, Viola Bell, Mazie Mount and Trudie Brelove all of Malone, FL, Dolois Bowers of Bascom, FL Robert Mount of Greenwood, FL, Reverend Fred (Sandra) Trawick of Donaldsonville, GA and the late Alberta Mount Rhymes. He os also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Friends may call Monday August 24th, 2015 from 12 noon to 1 o’clock followed by a funeral service immediately following at 1 PM in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Rd., Lockport, NY. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
