Elizabeth "Betty" Wheaton entered into rest July 29, 2015.

Born January 5, 1935, she was the daughter of Perry and Catherine (Cushion) Wheaton. Betty volunteered at Sister Helen's for over 25 years and enjoyed gardening, reading and crocheting.

She is the beloved mother of Avelino R. (Essien) Mayoral, Pauline Gonzales, Rose Ann Lowe, Katie Gonzales, Danny Gonzales and Patrick Gonzles. Cherished grandmother of Daniel L. Gonzales, Margo Lowe, Michael Lowe, Katherine Gonzales, Christine Gonzales, Bethany Gonzales, Phillip Gonzales, Keysha Stansbury and the late Patrick Gonzales Jr. Great-grandmother of six. Dear sister of Patricia Prentice, Diane Kendzie and the late Donald and Paul Wheaton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the TAYLOR & REYNOLDS FUNERAL HOME, corner of Transit and Niagara streets, and again on Monday from noon - 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Father Joseph Dumphrey officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
