Virginia A. “Pinky” Danna passed away July 15, 2015 surrounded by her family under the care of Niagara Hospice.

Born in Lockport on November 24, 1938 she was the daughter of Thomas W. and Mary T. (Pilhorn) Madden. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and remained active in alumnae activities until her illness. And was also quite active with DeSales Catholic School where her son graduated from. Pinky was an avid bowler, she traveled within the US after she retired from Harrison Radiator Division of GM. Pinky was a very generous person who gave her all for the comfort of others.

Pinky is survived by her children Michael J. (Cindy) Danna of Minnesota, Mathew R. Danna of Indiana, Thomas W. (Karen) Danna of Lockport, and was predeceased by her daughter Theresa A. Danna on January 25, 2014; grandmother of eight and great grandmother of nine; sister of Joanne Madden and Mary Catherine Madden Richards both of Lockport; special caring cousins Kathleen Hussein, Donna Ficarra, and Jennifer Burdick.  She will be missed also by extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 17th from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 18th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240 would be appreciated.
