The Niagara History Center has rescheduled its first Cemetery Tales Tour of the summer, which was canceled Sunday due to rain.
The “Step Back in Time Players” re-enactor troupe summer season now begins at 1 p.m. July 12 at Lockport’s Glenwood Cemetery. Attendees will tour the beautiful grounds and meet famous Lockportians of the past now residing in the cemetery.
This visit with “The People of Glenwood Cemetery” will present well-known men and women offering “first-hand” tales of their interesting lives in our historic community including “William Rand Kenan,” “Wallace Keep,” “Arabella Peterson,” and “Mary Walbridge Hunt.”
The tour group will meet at the mausoleum parking lot in Glenwood Cemetery, 325 Glenwood Ave. in Lockport. Plan to bring an umbrella or camp stool if needed. Ticket price is $10 per person.Call the History Center at 434-7433 for reservations.
