The 25th annual Erie Canal Fishing Derby begins today with over $20,000 in prizes to be doled out — including a boat, motor and trailer.
There are seven divisions for people to fish: bass, walleye, northern pike, bullhead, carp, sheephead, and catfish. Entry fees begin at just $5 for the cash bash, $10 for kids 14-and-under, $15 for adults and $25 for families.
The derby runs through July 12.
