She was born July 1, 1928 in Lockport and was the daughter of Alice Maloney.  Dorothy was a life-long resident of Lockport. She worked at Briody Nursing Home for over 40 years and she was a pioneer in the Home Care field. Her greatest joy was her love for her 7 children and her children’s love for each other.

She was stepmother of Thomas (Sandy) Wentland of Springville, NY, Diane Wentland of Ann Arbor, MI, Daniel (Kathy) Wentland of Mississippi, and Scott Wentland of Buffalo.
