Donald M. Coons passed away Saturday July 25, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House.

Born in Hudson, NY on March 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Helen Rosenkrans Coons. Donald worked for Harrison Radiator for 28 years, retiring in 1992, he was a member of the Tonawanda Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy (Jones) Coons of Lockport; father of Lynne (Richard) Lugo of Gasport and grandfather of Alexandra and Richard. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas (Diane) Coons of Mississippi and Lorna (Ronald) Hilblink.

Friends may call Thursday July 30th, 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Services will be Friday July 31st at 10 AM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Avenue, Lockport. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
