Lockport police are currently investigating a larceny at 7-Eleven at the corner of South Transit and High streets, and an "incident" at Aaron's on Walnut Street. The crimes, which both occurred shortly after 3 a.m. are apparently unrelated.

Police are also investigating an incident at Aaron's involving a broken
window and possible theft.
Police were called to Aaron's incident for a reported "glass-break alarm." It was first believed that a large-screen television was stolen from the store, but police aren't sure that's the case. They haven't entered the building and are currently waiting on a key-holder to inspect the interior.

The 7-Eleven crime involves a shoeless man who had $80 stolen from his car. The man told police he had gone to the convenience store to pick up a few items — sans shoes. When he got there, an acquaintance reached into his car and stole $80 cash. The shoeless man chased the suspect and a physical altercation occurred.

The suspect, described as a black male with a ripped shirt, fled on foot towards State Street.
