The Lockport Family YMCA's Summer Teen Activity Club (STAC) is open for registration. The STAC program, now in its 21st year, is once again offering leadership camps for teens in grades 6 – 9.
STAC is being run out of the Lockport Family YMCA for the duration of the summer. Teens can register for individual weeks or for the whole summer. Activities include team-building, service learning projects, fundraising, field trips, athletics, personal fitness, problem-solving, and swimming.
Through workshops and day camp experiences that strive to embody the core values of the YMCA (Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility), teens will develop valuable leadership skills. Each week, STAC goes on field trips alongside the Lockport Family YMCA Day Camp program, as well as taking two unique field trips: one to hike at Devil’s Hole Park and one to Darien Lake.
For members of the Lockport Family YMCA, one week of STAC costs $125, $200 for program members. STAC is a great way for teens to stay active throughout the summer, as well as a way to have fun while learning social and life skills.
