The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says that Diamond Ubiles was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph prior to being arrested on Cherry Street early this morning.

According to a press release from NCSO, patrol saw Ubiles speeding on Saunders Settlement Road in Cambria at approximately 11:33 p.m. Sunday. Ubiles attempted to evade patrol and led the pursuing deputy into the City of Lockport at speeds exceeding 100 mph while attempting to outrun patrol.

Ubiles and the female passenger in the vehicle got out on foot at High Street and Hyde Park, leading to the manhunt which resulted in Ubiles eventual capture in the area of High Street while he was a passenger in a vehicle being operated by Enrique Quiles, 40, of Lockport. Quiles was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and held on $250 bail. He is due in City Court on Wednesday.

In addition to second-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing and aggravated unlicensed operation, Ubiles was also charged with reckless driving and several other vehicle and traffic violations. He was held on $500 bail and has a return court date of Tuesday in the Town of Cambria Court.

While searching for Ubiles, patrols stopped a vehicle in the area of Hyde Park for a traffic violation at approximately 12:49 a.m. The operator, Keith R. Garvey, 22, of Lockport was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic charges. Garvey was held on $250 bail and was to be in City Court this morning.
