A 19-year-old Town of Lockport man was charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful fleeing following a multi-department dragnet in the City of Lockport.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Diamond Ubiles had fled from a Sheriff's deputy in the Town of Lockport and was seen bailing out of the car he was driving at High Street and Hyde Park shortly before midnight.

New York State Police and the Lockport Police Department helped to set up a perimeter and a dog was brought in to track Ubiles, who lives on Ruhlmann Road. Police focused on the area Ubiles had fled the car from and checked multiple addresses linked to him, including his home address and multiple Elmwood Avenue address.

He was later seen getting into a car on Cherry Street and apprehended by police, as was the 40-year-old driver of the second car. Both men were charged with aggravated unlicensed operation. A female passenger is Ubiles original vehicle was not charged with any crimes.

It was originally believed that Ubiles was driving a stolen vehicle, but police say the owner of the vehicle was aware Ubiles was using it.

UPDATE: Ubiles said to be driving over 100 mph before arrest
