A new exhibition at the Market Street Art Studios entitled "The Holly Brothers,” featuring works by David and Geoffrey Holly will have a public reception from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
Brothers David and Geoff are both consumers at Opportunities Unlimited. They began taking art classes at the Market Street Art Studios ten years ago. Their output includes paintings, photography, pottery and mixed media.
“Art is for everybody,” says Bonni Haney, Director of Exhibitions at the Market Street facility “and David and Geoff are embodiments of that idea. Art doesn’t just inspire, it is a means of communication that teaches both the artist and the observer. David and Geoff have learned much from their art and they have taught us much as well.”
The Holly brother’s works will be available for sale and portions of each sale will be donated to Opportunities Unlimited and the Sisters of Saint Mary Namur.
Market Street Art Studios are located at 247 Market St. with hours of operation from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. For more information visit www.marketstreetstudios.com or call 478-0248.
