The Lockport Sesquicentennial Committee will hold a concert on July 3, following the Independence Day Parade.

The "City of Lockport All Star Jam" featuring the Stoll Brothers Band will be held at 7 p.m. at the David Ulrich-owned parking lot at the corner of Locust and Walnut streets — right where the parade ends. Ulrich has given the Sesquicentennial Committee permission to use the space for the evening.

First-Ward Alderman John Lombardi is organizing the event and has brought on Sal Licata to do the sound and lighting. The city-owned mobile stage will be used, but the concert will be funded by private donations, as are all events planned by the Sesquicentennial Committee. A grant application has been made to the Grigg-Lewis Foundation to help cover some of the costs of the concert.

There will be food available as well as a beer tent. Concertgoers will be allowed to bring lawn chairs to sit in designated areas

The "jam" is just the latest event announced from the committee, which is promoting 150 events held over a nine-day period from June 27 to July 5. For a listing of the events, visit Lockport150.com.
