Lisa Ann Ramsey Stisser, 37, of Lockport, died unexpectedly in her sleep Friday morning, June 19, 2015 at her home following a 10 year hard fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Lisa was born on New Year’s Day in 1978 in Lockport, the only daughter of Ernest J. and Barbara C. Mahnke Ramsey of Gasport. She graduated from Royalton Hartland High School in Middleport in 1997.
She worked at the Care-A-Lot Day Care Center in Lockport for 5 years, as a teachers' aide, until their closing. Lisa had a great love for children and was very active in the care of her 2-year-old cousin, Miley Elizabeth Rose, who survives her. Lisa was a very avid bowler, porcelain doll collector and she loved her Tweetie Bird stuffed animals.
Lisa is survived by her fiancé and the love of her life, Milton Edward Steiner II, of Lockport, her parents, Ernest and Barbara Ramsey of Gasport; two brothers, Kevin J. Ramsey of Gasport and Stephen J. (Michelle) Ramsey. Eddie’s sister, Marilyn (Chris) Leyva of Los Cruces, NM and Celeste (Lee) Lexow of McHenry, IL, several cousins, aunts and uncles. She also left behind her feline companion, Tigger Elizabeth.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, June 23rd from 4-8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY where her going home services will be held Wednesday June 24th at 12 PM with Rev. Kurt Redke officiating. Burial will follow in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Lisa’s name by going to goFundme.com to help offset funeral expenses.
