As we move into our 2015-2016 season, we always have a need for housing families. The Lockport Express is reaching out to the community in search of families willing to open their homes to these young men during the hockey season.

The players are 15-20 years old and will arrive in August and will be here until the end of March. Housing families are paid a monthly stipend for each player housed. Background visits and in-home visits are performed during the selection process. A host family will provide the player with their own room or they can share a room with another player.  The family also needs to provide meals for the player, which includes breakfast, The player will provide their own bed and bath linens, personal care items, cell phone/computer and must follow all team and house rules, including keeping their room tidy and doing their own laundry.

Being a host family can be extremely rewarding.  Not only are you providing a player an opportunity to advance his hockey career but you will also develop a relationship with the player and his family that will last a very long time.
